DFB junior players: Successful training course in Hennef
The German U15 national team was a guest at the Hennef Sports School from April 20 to 23 for a youth training course. In addition to numerous training sessions, school times and meetings, the program included an internal test match on Wednesday, during which all players presented themselves to head coach Marc-Patrick Meister once again ahead of the upcoming international matches on Tuesday, May 5 and Thursday, May 7 in Oldenzaal with the Dutch.
Although the last time a DFB youth team visited Hennef was several years ago, the players and coaches were delighted with the conditions on site. Both the sporting conditions and the environment off the pitch left a very positive impression. “We had great days here. The conditions were great both for the sport and outside of soccer. Short distances to the pitch, very good food and, above all, lots of nice people contributed to the fact that we were able to complete a successful basic training course,” Meister emphasized after the stay.
Meister also emphasized how important the work of the individual soccer associations is for the German Football Association: “Especially in the younger age groups, the work of the associations is very important. Thanks to the many support programs and development tournaments, we can always stay up to date with the latest developments in our age groups and are in constant contact with the coaches on site.” After the course, the coaches carried out a joint analysis on Thursday before the entire team departed.
