The Hennef Sports School – a place that writes sports history

Since its opening in 1950, the Hennef Sports School has stood for top-level promotion, versatility and sporting excellence. What once began as a soccer academy has now developed into one of the most important multi-sport performance centers in Germany. The Football Association of the Middle Rhine, which runs the facility, and the German Football Association regularly use the sports school for training courses and tournament preparations. Numerous top international professional and national teams have also been guests at Dürresbachtal.

But it’s not just soccer that benefits: The Hennef Sports School is also home to the boxing association, wrestlers, judoka, weightlifters and many other disciplines with their training centers and state performance bases. Amateur and junior athletes train here side by side with the best. On an area of around 60 hectares, you will find high-quality sports facilities as well as modern conference rooms, a hotel with 114 rooms in three categories, a sauna area and spacious fitness areas. Whether training, seminar or time out in the countryside – our focus is on people.
